The Plush Feel I heat up really quickly when running (especially when its hot out – hot weather running is not for me), but the thin sock solution did the trick and I enjoyed the plush upper without hot feet. Because the Ghost is so plush, I did find that when running on hot days (80+), I fared better when wearing thin socks. The 3D Fit Print Upper has been tweaked to make it more breathable. It felt super smooth to run in and it did, indeed, transition easily from heel to toe. The foam in the midsole increases shock absorption upon landing which makes this a great shoe for daily training and longer runs – less stress on the body. This means you get a cushier ride and a smoother heel-to-toe transition. The Ghost 13 isn’t wildly different from the Ghost 12, which, I’d argue, is a good thing. What’s Special About the Brooks Ghost 13? Top Three Things I’ll continue using it for recovery runs, chill daily runs and for cruising on longer runs. It’s not a super fast shoe, but it can handle speedier longer runs. That cushioned propulsion was especially nice when I used this shoe for a recovery day or a long run. I’m not a heel striker, but I still appreciated the cushioning (now extended from the heel to the forefoot in the 13) and the smooth heel-to-toe transitions. If you’re a heel striker, this shoe has ample cushioning in the heel.
You feel like your foot is being enveloped in pillows, but the ride is still sturdy, and the shoe has significant structure throughout the upper, the midsole and outsole to support longer distances. What I found special about Brooks Ghost 13 I just feel a bit disappointed that Brooks doesn’t experiment with the design a bit more.

How do you like the design of the new Brooks Ghost 13? Please feel free to comment at the discussion section of this review. I can say that as for looks they are maybe differently combined slightly more intense but otherwise the same as well. If everything works well with the shoes, what else would you change then? And of course they changed the color scheme. But as far as I have seen their features, the only difference between them that I found was that they added more cushioning to the forefoot. I haven’t tested the previous model so I cannot really compare them. Other than that, they are very similar to the previous Brooks Ghost 12.
